Chris and chelsea holding veggies at farmers marketThe Market Square Farmers Market in Knoxville, Tennessee, was such a treat! Located in the heart of downtown, this market was so vibrant and had a wonderful community feel to it. We found amazing local produce grown by farmers in the East Tennessee region, like collard greens from Jennings Hollow Farm, tomatoes from John Mixon Farms, green garlic from Zavels Family Farms, and carrots from Spring Creek Veggies. There were a great variety of craft food vendors, like Heirloom Tomato Ketchup from Century Harvest Farms (we can’t wait to use it), and chocolate bars from Unrefined Chocolate, as well as craft vendors selling jewelry, home decor, clothing, and soaps. They also had some unique features we haven’t seen before, like a booth offering community CPR training and a “Veggie Valet” where market visitors can drop off their purchases and come back later with their car to load all of their yummy finds. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the Market Square Farmers Market!
