One of our favorite things to do when we visit new cities is explore their markets, like this one, the Queen Victoria Market, in Melbourne, Australia. The lively Queen Victoria Market is a historical market that officially opened in 1878 and has been called the largest open air market in the Southern Hemisphere! This vibrant, tourist friendly market offers a little bit of everything from local fruits 🍅, vegetables 🥕, meats 🥩, seafood 🐟, and prepared foods to artisanal crafts, clothing, and souvenirs.
We had a wonderful time exploring this expansive market, meeting local entrepreneurs, and getting introduced to some fruits and veggies we don’t often see back here in the states!
