What: South Shore Farmers Market
Where: 2900 South Shore Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53207
When: Saturdays 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (June 15 – October 26, 2019)
A little rain couldn’t keep market-goers (or us!) away from the South Shore Farmers Market in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In fact, the rain made for an almost dreamy farmers market experience as we strolled through the trees and looked out on Lake Michigan, accompanied by the sounds of a jazz quartet. We discovered a great variety of produce from local farms, including blueberries, strawberries, beets, and kale. And, we couldn’t leave without picking up some garlic scapes from LotFotL Community Farm. One of the most fun booths was Press Waffles, who serve Belgian waffles out of a vintage 1962 camper trailer.
